Fargo Area Utility Locator Manager
Utility Locate Manager
Major Responsibilities:
-
Manage a team of 5-10 employees
-
Read and understand maps and other documents to help identify underground utilities
-
Operate handheld detection equipment
-
Prioritizing locating requests to determine routing
-
Mark the location of underground utilities on private property, and other appropriate locations using required spray paints, flags, and equipment.
-
Complete and document locates on company provided laptop
Qualifications:
-
Familiarity with Locating Industry Preferred
-
Experience with managing people
-
A valid driver's license
-
Ability to work independently
-
Good communication skills with employees, crews, homeowners and contractors
-
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work in all types of weather, and drive extensively
-
Basic computer skills
-
Knowledge of underground utility construction is preferred
-
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Utility Locator Trainer
Major Responsibilities:

Train New Employees in how to locate ALL types of utilities
-
Explain policies and procedures to new employees
-
Operate handheld detection equipment
-
Teach software systems to new employees
-
Complete and document training

Qualifications:
-
Experience in locating is a requirement
-
Experience in training and managing employees preferred
-
A valid driver's license
-
Ability to work independently
-
Good communication skills with employees, crews, homeowners and contractors
-
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work in all types of weather, and drive extensively

Basic computer skills
-
Knowledge of underground utility construction

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Knowledge of Energy Worldnet and Korterra a plus
