Fargo Area Utility Locator Manager
Utility Locate Manager
Major Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 5-10 employees

  • Read and understand maps and other documents to help identify underground utilities

  • Operate handheld detection equipment

  • Prioritizing locating requests to determine routing

  • Mark the location of underground utilities on private property, and other appropriate locations using required spray paints, flags, and equipment.

  • Complete and document locates on company provided laptop

 

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Locating Industry Preferred

  • Experience with managing people

  • A valid driver's license

  • Ability to work independently

  • Good communication skills with employees, crews, homeowners and contractors

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work in all types of weather, and drive extensively

  • Basic computer skills

  • Knowledge of underground utility construction is preferred

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Iowa Utility Locator Trainer
Utility Locator Trainer
Major Responsibilities:

  • Train New Employees in how to locate ALL types of utilities

  • Explain policies and procedures to new employees

  • Operate handheld detection equipment

  • Teach software systems to new employees

  • Complete and document training

Qualifications:

  • Experience in locating is a requirement

  • Experience in training and managing employees preferred

  • A valid driver's license

  • Ability to work independently

  • Good communication skills with employees, crews, homeowners and contractors

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work in all types of weather, and drive extensively

  • Basic computer skills

  • Knowledge of underground utility construction

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

  • Knowledge of Energy Worldnet and Korterra a plus
